Belize sits on the Caribbean coast of Central America and holds the largest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere, the ~300km Belize Barrier Reef, plus three offshore coral atolls: Lighthouse Reef, Turneffe, and Glover's Reef. Diving is warm-water Caribbean wall and reef, accessed by day boat from the cayes or by liveaboard. The reef system is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We populate Lighthouse Reef first because it holds the country's signature site, the Great Blue Hole, alongside genuinely strong walls at Half Moon Caye and Long Caye.
