Bolkiah Wreck

The old Bolkiah ferry, put down as a recreational wreck. Modest by comparison with the wartime hulls, but it is unambiguously in Brunei waters and it is the wreck most often used to fill out a day when the longer runs are blown out.

Unique features

  • A 1955-built passenger ferry, scuttled deliberately in 1992 as a dive site
  • 18-24m, sitting in Brunei waters about 45 minutes from Serasa
  • A purpose-sunk wreck with no war-grave sensitivity, so guides are freer with it
