Mexico now covers seven distinct dive trips. Socorro is a Pacific liveaboard crossing for mantas and sharks; La Paz adds regulated sea-lion diving and separate whale-shark snorkelling. Cabo Pulmo is a community-managed reef park, while Los Cabos combines local dives with high-variance Gordo Banks. On the Caribbean side, Cozumel supplies drift reefs, Isla Mujeres offers shallow reefs and MUSA, and the Riviera Maya cenotes are freshwater cavern dives. Seasons, temperatures and difficulty differ sharply, so compare region pages rather than using one national calendar.
