Myanmar's only established dive destination is the Mergui (Myeik) Archipelago, several hundred islands in the far south of the Andaman Sea, reached almost entirely by liveaboards that cross the border from Ranong in Thailand. The country has been in armed conflict since the February 2021 military coup; the UK FCDO advises against all travel to much of Myanmar and against all but essential travel to the rest, and notes the military regime can impose travel restrictions at short notice. Dive visas, permits and port fees are paid to a state run by that military, so the money is not neutral — divers should weigh that before booking. Diving is seasonal, running roughly November to April and shutting down through the southwest monsoon.
