Indonesia
Best overall months to dive: Apr, May, Jun, Sep, Oct, Nov
Indonesia sits at the heart of the Coral Triangle and offers about the widest range of diving anywhere: the remote biodiversity of Raja Ampat, the currents and mantas of Komodo, the black-sand macro of the Lembeh Strait, the coral walls of Bunaken, the reefs of Wakatobi and the current-swept pinnacles of Alor, plus the accessible wrecks, sunfish and turtles of Bali and the easy training reefs of the Gili Islands. Seasons vary widely across the archipelago, so the best time to dive depends entirely on which region you pick.
