The Pit

The deepest recreational cavern dive in the Sac Actun system. The shaft drops far below the 40m recreational limit; the dive is a short deep leg into the H2S layer, then a slow ascent past fossils. Advanced-only, short bottom time, entrance fee around 500 MXN.
